Papaya Salad with Salted Blue Crab


๐—œ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€:

๐Ÿ”ธ 1 Green Papaya (shredded)

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 Garlic Cloves

๐Ÿ”ธ Thai Chilies (# upon your preference)

๐Ÿ”ธ 1 tsp Shrimp Paste

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 Tbsp Salted Blue crab + 1 Tbsp Juice

๐Ÿ”ธ 1 Tbsp Fish sauce

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 Tbsp Palm Sugar + 1 Tbsp Water (melt for 30 sec in microwave)

๐Ÿ”ธ 1โ„4 cup Tamarind Concentrate)

๐Ÿ”ธ Green Beans (cut into 1 inch pieces)

๐Ÿ”ธ Grape Tomatoes (halved)

๐Ÿ”ธ Peanuts (optional)


๐—œ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€:

1. In a mortar & pestle, pound the Garlic cloves and Thai Chilies into a paste.


2. Add 1 tsp Shrimp Paste, 2 Tbsp Salted Crab, and 1 Tbsp of the Salted Crab Juice. Pound lightly.


3. Add 1 Tbsp Fish Sauce, juice from 1/2 a Lime, melted Palm Sugar, and 1/4 cup Tamarind concentrate. Mix well.


4. Add Tomatoes and Green Beans. Smash lightly to bruise them.


5. Add in shredded Green Papaya. Pound and mix everything together.


6. ๐˜–๐˜ฑ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ : Garnish with some Peanuts!
